DESIGNER BRANDS I WISH TO THRIFT

I have created a thrift store guideline or goal for myself.  I made 2015 the year to shop my closet and so far I'm on a good track.  I've put myself in the habit of just saying "no"! LOL! My closets are in overloaded mode.  I had to come to the realization that just because the item is $1.00 doesn't mean I have to take it home. Lesson learned! On another note, because I enjoy visiting the thrift stores and looking for true vintage items, I've decided to create a list of vintage designer brands I would love to add to my closet.  This creates a challenge for me. I will actually enter the thrift store with a specific goal therefore will make it less likely for me to pick up items I don't really need. I'm on a vintage designer brand thrift hunt! Finding gems in 2015!

Vintage and Thrift: Stuart Weitzman Oxford Booties

I believe in speaking into existence.   Just two months ago I was telling myself I have tons of clothes but want to focus on finding shoes.  I've been keeping my eye on the prize when thrifting... Shoesss! The cool temperatures had my heart set on a pair of oxford booties. I went to Goodwill Perimeter and found these designer Stuart Weitzman oxford booties. 

 

They are not vintage but they are a pair of thrifted/pre-owned beauties.  I  did some research on these beauties.  Stuart Weitzman debuted these  at Nordstorm stores three years ago for $295.00.  I totally scored.  These are in excellent condition and only costs me $5.98.

Vintage and Thrift: Smyrna Thrift Store Colorblock

I'm still shopping my closet.  I'm actually having a joyful time going through my closet. I've been finding treasures I totally forgot about.  Last week I wore this dress I purchased from Smyrna Thrift Store over a year ago. I think this dress was under $4.00. Check out how I wear $4.00 LOL!

Vintage and Thrift: Vintage GAYMODE JC Penny Shoes

I've been finding the cutest shoes during my thrift ventures.  I'm still actively shopping my closet for clothes in 2015 but wanted to venture out and look for vintage or vintage inspired shoes.   In my recent thrift store visit I found these cute mod era 1960's blue and white gaymode brand shoes by JC Penny.

Vintage and Thrift: Vintage 1960's Lillie Ann Dress and Jacket

Vintage is a lot of things. It's classic, timeless and stylish. I call it fashion from the past brought back to life. I scored this blue and white 1960's Lillie Ann dress and jacket from Ecologie Resale and Vintage located in the heart of Kennesaw, Georgia.  I was super excited when I came across this beauty. One, the price was perfect. (under $30.00) Two, Lillie Ann jackets alone currently range from $150.00 to $400.00 on ebay and etsy.  I even saw a very similar Lillie Ann dress and jacket on etsy with the asking price of $425.00.  I sure did score a beauty from Ecologie.  Fabulous on a budget!

I have a thing for red pumps. These are my third pair.  I thrifted these from Goodwill Perimeter. I kind of feel as if every woman should own a pair of red pumps.  They are perfect for adding that pop to an outfit.

Vintage and Thrift: Poncho and Booties

My first blog post in 2015. I am truly excited about this new year.  It means...more time with family and friends and another opportunity to get it right.  More excitingly, another year to have fun and thrift! My 2015 thrift goal is to simply shop my closet more.  You will see several sweet repeats this year but with a different twist. Hope the new year is treating you well so far.
