Resale Therapy Shopping Party with Ecologie Consignment and Vintage
This weekend I hosted a Thrifting Atlanta shopping party at Ecologie Consignment and Vintage, one of my favorite places to shop. When I find a gem, I must share it with my fellow fashionistas. I believe in sharing is caring. I was pleased with the turn out and that the attendees left with bags full of goodies and love Ecologie just as much as I do. Ecologie is located in the heart of Kennesaw, Georgia right across from Town Center Mall. If you're ever in the area or simply just looking for a fun shopping experience, you must pay them a visit. I look at Ecologie as a quick way to find something cute, special and always within a budget. It's also a great shopping store for those who like thrift stores but lack patience to search at a thrift store for that special item. At Ecologie all the goodies are sorted out and ready for you. Also, it's perfect for those who are not a fan of the hustle and bustle of mall shopping.

All guests were welcomed with refreshments, tasty treats, goodie bags and 20% off their purchases.

Thrifted Inspired by Vintage Haute Couture
I was reading an article on Vintage Haute Couture and came across this dress from the 1800's by English fashion designer, Charles Frederick Worth. He's widely considered the Father of Haute couture. I fell in love with the details of this dress. So regal! I recently shared this dress on Instagram and asked where would I wear this too?! Kudos to my Instagram family. The majority ruled yes. They would wear it because it's just fabulous, which I totally agree. As we all know, there is no better place to shop then to shop your own closet. I searched my closet and came up with this ensamble which was inspired by this 1800's dress. See how I brought the 1800's to 2014.

The Leather in Me
.

I almost left this sweater behind at Goodwill. The sleeves had a slight tear. I usually don't like to thrift anything that requires work but this was too cute to leave behind. A little alteration helped and here it is!

Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour: Fall 2013 (RECAP)
If you weren't on the bus, you missed out! Thrifting Atlanta has done it again. Another great bus tour where we shopped, shared and bonded. This bus tour is an event filled with Atlanta Fashionistas riding in style in a 42 passenger MTI Charted Bus. The bus stopped at some of Atlanta's best resale shops. We were welcomed by Junior League of Atlanta: Nearly New Shop with light refreshments, morning eats and of course, shopping discounts!

Always fun to shop with thrifty fashionistas
