Hidden Gems: Tracy Chambers Vintage "Bed-Stuy Brooklyn Open Air Market"

I was in my home town this weekend and got a chance to visit Tracy Chambers Vintage in Brooklyn.  I knew I would love this vintage shop because it's named after my favorite lady, Diana Ross.  Yes, the shop is named after Diana Ross' character in Mahogany.  One of my favorite Diana Ross film.  Anyway, back to the hidden gem of Brooklyn, NY.  There were so many great pieces.  I bet there were tons more prior to me getting there.  I arrived a little late but still got some goodies.

 with the Helen, owner of Tracy Chambers Vintage.  Helen's carefully curated vintage pieces makes your heart sing. 

So many great pieces... Color, patterns.  Can't wait to share my pieces.

Naturally Pretty a "Natural Goes Glam" Event (Part 1)

Resale Therapy: Denim & Silver

O, how I love a good vintage inspired dress.  This one turned out to be extra special because it's denim and it has pockets. Yes, pockets! I adore dresses with pockets. Comfort, Comfort and Comfort.  Gotta love a good resale therapy piece. Can't wait to give this precious piece a try with a pair of my favorite boots when the weather gets chillier.  

 I purchased this dress from an online vintage boutique so long ago, I totally forgot the name. Shame on me. But I'm an avid supporter of small business especially businesses that specializes in resale and vintage inspired items.

Style Icon Part I (Lisa Bonet/Denise Huxtable)

I remember sitting in my parent's living room with my brother waiting to watch the new episodes of The Cosby Show. That was our family night with the Huxtables. One of the best television shows in history!  I tell you Phylicia Rashad who played Clair Huxtable and Lisa Bonet who played Denise Huxtable were the two I most connected to.  I guess because of their unique styles.

Denise's style was free and full of character. She always worked it well and it works so great on her.  Here are some classic looks I've captured.
