Look Book- Mens Wear turns into Women's Wear

I will no longer by-pass the men's section at a thrift store.  I stumbled across this blue (men's) shirt at America's Thrift Store in Marietta, Georgia while on a hunt in the men's section seeking to find a summer shirt for my husband.  I love the colors, tried it on and it fits!

Thrift Shop Day is today, August 17, 2015

Are you ready for a fun day of some great bargain shopping? Today is the day! Shop, have fun and enjoy the deals but don't get drunk over junk. Purchase what you need.  I was in need of black pumps to wear to the office.  The thrift God's heard my call.  I scored these Guess pumps from Goodwill in Powder Springs, Georgia. 

Vintage and Thrift: Vintage 1960's Lillie Ann Dress and Jacket

Vintage is a lot of things. It's classic, timeless and stylish. I call it fashion from the past brought back to life. I scored this blue and white 1960's Lillie Ann dress and jacket from Ecologie Resale and Vintage located in the heart of Kennesaw, Georgia.  I was super excited when I came across this beauty. One, the price was perfect. (under $30.00) Two, Lillie Ann jackets alone currently range from $150.00 to $400.00 on ebay and etsy.  I even saw a very similar Lillie Ann dress and jacket on etsy with the asking price of $425.00.  I sure did score a beauty from Ecologie.  Fabulous on a budget!

I have a thing for red pumps. These are my third pair.  I thrifted these from Goodwill Perimeter. I kind of feel as if every woman should own a pair of red pumps.  They are perfect for adding that pop to an outfit.

Vintage and Thrift: Cape Outerwear

Happy November again! It's Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The big day to get out and vote! Just wanted to started out with that friendly reminder.

It's a little nippy in Atlanta, Georgia but I'm not complaining at all. I prefer cooler weather temperatures. I know, it's uncommon coming from a girl from the Caribbean but change of season is always good. I look at it as an opportunity for growth and new beginnings.
