My second favorite thing to do is support small businesses and artists.  ICE (Indie Craft Experience) Atlanta held their holiday extravaganza on November 22 and November 23. Both dates were filled with people.  I enjoy seeing different talent, vintage fashion and art.  You will be amazed as to how many great ideas the people in the world have to offer. That's why I support events involving vintage, art and crafty market place.  If you missed it, you missed a great time.   The great news is that ICE Atlanta is always hosting a great event.  Everyone should experience the Indie Craft Experience.

I enjoy the uniqueness of each vendor.  This event was not filled with clothing vendors. It was a room filled with ART!

Vintage and Thrift: Red Leather Skirt

 

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving Day.  The world may not be perfect but there is so much to be thankful for. Always remember that! For gobble gobble day, I was thrifted from head to toe.

I snagged this sweater for $1.75 at Park Avenue Thrift Outlet in Woodstock, Georgia while thrifting with my thriftsister Lisa Michalski.

I love this cape! Union Label Made and Houndstooth pattern cape is such a classic style.   I scored this at ICE Atlanta's Holiday Shopping Extravaganza from Ivory, owner of Forgotten Feather Vintage, a resale vintage and resale boutique in Atlanta.

Getting to Holiday ICE is so easy

 

 You can take MARTA or drive. The GA Freight Depot is on MLK Jr Dr but WAAAAAAAAY back from the street. In between Pryor Street and Central Ave, look for the old Coca-Cola museum (there is nothing in that building now).

 

Public Transportation:

You can take MARTA to the Five Points Station or the Georgia State Station. We are just a few blocks from each station.

From Five Points Station: exit on the Peachtree St. side and turn right. Turn left on MLK Jr Dr. The GA Freight Depot is on your left just past Pryor St.

From Georgia State: turn left on Piedmont Ave and right on MLK Jr Dr. The GA Freight Depot is on your right just past Central Ave.

Parking:

There are thousands of parking spaces in downtown Atlanta. We suggest the Underground Atlanta parking decks. These decks are just a block away on MLK Jr Dr. They offer a flat rate of $3/day on the weekend. They accept cash and card for payment.

2014 Salvage Atlanta Vintage Style Competition Judges

What a great time I had! September 13, 2014 was a vintage blast.  Great turn out! Met so many awesome people that not only love fashion but love vintage.  A room filled with vintage vendors is like entering a mini museum.  You are amazed with talent, artistry, fashion, history all in one room.  I highly recommend attending vintage market events... You'll never know what you will find or lean!  

With co-founder and creator of Salvage Atlanta, Christy.  Such a sweetheart. 

The vintage style competition was tough. All participants submitted great photos.

I'm super happy to have been invited to be part of this entire event. Don't miss out on the next one!

My vintage crochet lace dress was perfect to wear for a day with a room filled with vintage lovers! I wore this dress to attend Salvage Atlanta's Fall 2014 vintage market place where I was a guest judge in the vintage style competition. This dress gives me Gatsby style and bohemian wedding dress feeling.  It's just beautifully made! VintageAndThrift: Salvage Atlanta Fall 2014 (An Indie Craft Experience)

Super excited! I was invited to be the guest social media for ICE Atlanta, fashion blogger and one of the three judges for the vintage style competition at today's Fall 2014 Salvage Atlanta biggest vintage market place.  Over 40 vendors all in one room! If you love uniqueness, you will love this event!

September 13, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ambient Plus Studio- 585 Wells Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30312. Admission: $5.00 CASH at the door, kids 12 & under free.

Vintage And Thrift: ICE Atlanta /Salvage Atlanta September 13, 2014

Vintage Vintage and Vintage! Salvage is back for its 5th Salvage event. Salvage is a curated vintage market with vendors selling clothing, home goods, decor, jewelry and books.  Check out their website at www.Salvageatl.com.  

I attended their event in April and was captivated by all of the amazing vendors.  For the Fall 2014 Salvage, I was invited by Christy and the ICE Atlanta team to come back and recapture all of the fun. I will be there with bells and whistles! I ooed and awwwed the entire time I was there. If you truly love vintage and unique pieces, this event is for you.

40's, 50's, 60's- plus vintage and vintage inspired fashion and handcrafted vendors will be in the building. DJ, swag bag for the first 100 attendees, photo booth, vintage style competition, food and fun!
