Vintage and Thrift: Red White Blue & Thrift

So many birthdays in July! Cancers rule! I was headed to a birthday dinner and decided to wear my holiday "Red White and Blue" to represent the July 4th holiday!

Vintage and Thrift: DIY From Thrifted Dress to Tunic Top

Can you believe I made this top in ten minutes.  This is the quickest DIY project. It's simple. Choose a dress and cut away! No sewing involved. Just cut the sides and make sure all the edges are cleanly cut.  I purchased this dress at a Goodwill Powder $3.95. It's been sitting in my closet for over a year.  I love the pattern but the dress was too tight around the hips.  My sister in thrift, Troy of The Thriftanista In The City gave me this DIY idea to cut the sides of the dress and wear it as a cute top.

Vintage and Thrift: Stuart Weitzman Oxford Booties

I believe in speaking into existence.   Just two months ago I was telling myself I have tons of clothes but want to focus on finding shoes.  I've been keeping my eye on the prize when thrifting... Shoesss! The cool temperatures had my heart set on a pair of oxford booties. I went to Goodwill Perimeter and found these designer Stuart Weitzman oxford booties.

They are not vintage but they are a pair of thrifted/pre-owned beauties.  I  did some research on these beauties.  Stuart Weitzman debuted these  at Nordstorm stores three years ago for $295.00.  I totally scored.  These are in excellent condition and only costs me $5.98.
This similar pair are on Etsy for $100.00

Vintage and Thrift: Red Leather Skirt

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving Day.  The world may not be perfect but there is so much to be thankful for. Always remember that! For gobble gobble day, I was thrifted from head to toe.
I snagged this sweater for $1.75 at Park Avenue Thrift Outlet in Woodstock, Georgia while thrifting with my thriftsister Lisa Michalski.

Red Wilsons Leather Red Skirt $3.00 from Last Chance Thrift Store, Lithia Springs
Red Guess Pumps ( These are my favorite red pumps by the way) from Heels On Wheels

I love this cape! Union Label Made and Houndstooth pattern cape is such a classic style.   I scored this at ICE Atlanta's Holiday Shopping Extravaganza from Ivory, owner of Forgotten Feather Vintage, a resale vintage and resale boutique in Atlanta.
