Thank goodness for knowing other thrifters. I was gifted this fabulous yellow Christian Dior blazer a few months ago. I was so excited about this gift because the color is bright and I feel like a walking ball of sunshine when I wear it.

Flashback: Wendy's 2011 Brunch Event
May 1, 2011 was a fabulous day indeed! A day well spent with friends. Food, fun, games and fellowshiop. Every year I'm asked when will I have another one. I can't wait to do it again but I've decided to gather everyone every five years to celebrate our friendship. I wish I could do it every year but I want it to be special. To see more pics, click HERE

Couldn't start the fun without prayer. Actually, one of my favorite moments. A room filled with praying women.
My second favorite momentwas the smile on each of my friends faces when they received a personalized note from me. Everyone we keep in our lives are a mirror image, reflection of ourselves or an inspiration to help us grow.
2016 will be bigger and better!

When it comes to an event where it celebrates women, I'm all in there. Natural Hair: Protective Style Nubian Twists
I'm on hair vacation for a couple of weeks. Don't get me wrong, I love my natural hair but sometimes I get into the get up and go mood and don't feel like dealing with hair. I didn't go with my signature Havana Twists for hair vacation this time. I went with Nubian Twists installed by Mina of Styles By Mina in Atlanta, GA. Here are some photos of how I've been playing with my new protective style.
I only use Finger Comber hair to install twist in my hair. It's very versatile, reusable and keeps moisture in your hair.

Thrifted Fashion: Floral Print Dress
The print on this dress gave me life and its my mother's favorite color too. I thought of my Mommy the moment I saw this dress. This past weekend, I attended a play with my husband and wanted a semi glam look but of course, on a budget. I chose this lovely thrifted number I purchased for only $.50 from one of my favorite thrift stores, Park Avenue Thrift Outlet (Woodstock Location). Park Avenue Thrift Outlet in Woodstock opened in early December 2013. Since I've come across this location, I have been hooked. It really does feel good to go on a shopping spree with just $5.00.
