Vintage And Thrift: ICE Atlanta /Salvage Atlanta September 13, 2014

Vintage Vintage and Vintage! Salvage is back for its 5th Salvage event. Salvage is a curated vintage market with vendors selling clothing, home goods, decor, jewelry and books.  Check out their website at www.Salvageatl.com.  

I attended their event in April and was captivated by all of the amazing vendors.  For the Fall 2014 Salvage, I was invited by Christy and the ICE Atlanta team to come back and recapture all of the fun. I will be there with bells and whistles! I ooed and awwwed the entire time I was there. If you truly love vintage and unique pieces, this event is for you.

40's, 50's, 60's- plus vintage and vintage inspired fashion and handcrafted vendors will be in the building. DJ, swag bag for the first 100 attendees, photo booth, vintage style competition, food and fun!

Vintage and Thrift: Fashion Bomb Daily Feature!

Guess who was featured in Fashion Bomb Daily?! MEEEEEEEE!  

I've read several submissions in the past and the comments can be a tad bit brutal.  Reading the comments on other submissions made me very much hesitant about submitting my photos. I'm truly grateful to have a loving spouse to convince me to go for it. I put on my big girl helmet and went for it.  The comments were pretty good. Majority of the comments perfectly summarized my style.... Classy, Conservative, Vintage and Ladylike.  My style and taste in clothing will not be the best to everyone but what I do know for sure is that I love what I wear and I feel great in what I wear. I took all the comments into consideration and appreciate each and every critique. This was a fun experience in Fashion Bomb Daily.

Thrifted Inspired by Vintage Haute Couture

I was reading an article on Vintage Haute Couture and came across this dress from the 1800's by English fashion designer, Charles Frederick Worth. He's widely considered the Father of Haute couture.  I fell in love with the details of this dress.  So regal! I recently shared this dress on Instagram and asked  where would I wear this too?!  Kudos to my Instagram family.  The majority ruled yes.  They would wear it because it's just fabulous, which I totally agree.  As we all know, there is no better place to shop then to shop your own closet.  I searched my closet and came up with this ensamble which was inspired by this 1800's dress.  See how I brought the 1800's to 2014.
