My husband said this look reminds him of Christmas.  July does feel like Christmas.  July is my birthday month along with so many others.  Every weekend this entire month, I have attended a birthday celebration. July is truly an amazing month and it is truly a gift to celebrate so many birthdays in one month.  The month is not over yet, but I must say it was great!

My church flow frock is from Angels Vintage Boutique.  Angels never disappoints me. My number one go to for vintage dresses.  I added one of my favorite belts I scored at swap party a few months ago.  My entire outfit is less than $25.00.

The weekend is over already.  Although the weekends tend to be short, I always have an amazing weekend.  It's always a short but sweet weekend for me.  I celebrated one of my good friend's 40th birthday this weekend.   We had so much fun.  I enjoy any outing where women can just let go and have a great time. I wore one of my favorite fitting blazers and a touch of sequins.  The clutch is special to me because it was gifted by my husband. It was my gift from his trip to Haiti.

Vintage andThrift: Sam Edelman Flats

Heels are always my first choice but sometimes I have the need to just chillax and look cute in a fab pair of flats.  I found these cute Sam Edelman two toned flats for $4.50 from Smyrna Thrift Store in Smyrna, Georgia.  These beauties usually retail for $110.00.  They were hardly worn and comfortable too.

Influential Vintage Designer Names I Wish to Add to My Closet

DESIGNER BRANDS I WISH TO THRIFT

I have created a thrift store guideline or goal for myself.  I made 2015 the year to shop my closet and so far I'm on a good track.  I've put myself in the habit of just saying "no"! LOL! My closets are in overloaded mode.  I had to come to the realization that just because the item is $1.00 doesn't mean I have to take it home. Lesson learned! On another note, because I enjoy visiting the thrift stores and looking for true vintage items, I've decided to create a list of vintage designer brands I would love to add to my closet.  This creates a challenge for me. I will actually enter the thrift store with a specific goal therefore will make it less likely for me to pick up items I don't really need. I'm on a vintage designer brand thrift hunt! Finding gems in 2015!

Vintage And Thrift: A Fan of Fann's Closet

We are getting closer to the holidays. Knowing my anniversary, Christmas and the New Year is around the corner has me super excited. I haven't been shopping for myself the past couple of weeks. I'm focusing on staying on budget with my holiday shopping.  Could you believe I have not hit a thrift store in two weeks?! Yep, I'm taking a thrift store break to focus on shopping for my love ones. Although I am not shopping for myself at this moment, I am still supporting my  local small business owners.  The PopUp Marche' had an event this weekend at Atlantic Station and my buddy Andrea  owner of Fann's Closet a mobile vintage boutique in Atlanta was in the building.  Here are some of my favorite pics from Fann's Closet.

This picture doesn't do this dress much justice.  It's a gorgeous open back and perfect for the holidays.

Sequins continuously calls my name.  She is gorgeous and is screaming take me home.

Happy November again! It's Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The big day to get out and vote! Just wanted to started out with that friendly reminder.

It's a little nippy in Atlanta, Georgia but I'm not complaining at all. I prefer cooler weather temperatures. I know, it's uncommon coming from a girl from the Caribbean but change of season is always good. I look at it as an opportunity for growth and new beginnings.
